Krystle Martin, Ph.D., is a clinical and forensic psychologist registered with the College of Psychology of Ontario. She is currently a Research Scientist at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences. Her current program of study includes projects focusing on workplace mental health for first responders and resiliency. She is also currently leading the creation and implementation of a potential treatment clinic at Ontario Shores dedicated to the mental health of first responders. Dr. Martin holds adjunct graduate faculty status at UOIT and teaches in their Forensic Psychology program. In this capacity she recently collaborated on the ‘Resilient Minds: A Community Approach to Empowering Students to Improve Mental Health on Campus’ project and co-chaired the Stakeholders’ Round Table on Student Psychological Resilience which brought together university and community stakeholders to discuss policies and best-practices aimed at improving the psychological resilience of UOIT students. She also maintains a small private practice in Oshawa.

Our Forum will feature various community organizations to showcase the resources available to community members with speakers and a question & answer period for a healthier mental health. Featuring Dr. Krystle Martin, Ontario Shores and Liana Lane, Ajax resident talking about everyday to difficult conversations. Carion Fenn is the President of the Carion Fenn Foundation, a Member of Lakeridge Health Board of Trustees, Board Quality Committee & Co-Chair Ajax Pickering Hospital Community Panel. Host of Health 180 with Carion Fenn on Rogers TV Durham. She is an Accessibility Advisor to Town of Ajax Council & Vice Chair on the Accessibility Advisory Committee. Carion is a member of the Jamaican Canadian Association and honoured to be selected for 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women 2018.
