Carion Fenn Foundation presents its 4th Annual Mental Health Forum in partnership with Ajax Public Library and Lakeridge Health.
Our program will feature exhibitors, a panel of speakers, and a breakaway session on resilience. Our speakers will include Cordelia Clarke-Julien, Natasha Halliday, Ann Powell, a professional from Lakeridge Health and more who will focus on the day-to-day struggles impacting families and teach you ways to cope and overcome life challenges. Community organizations like Canadian Mental Health Services, Durham Mental Health Services, Home Health Hues, The Denise House, Women’s Multicultural Resource & Counselling Centre and more will be there to showcase products or services available to the public.

Carion is a Board of Trustee, Vice Chair of the Board Quality Committee and Co-Chair of The Ajax Pickering Hospital Community Panel for Lakeridge Health, governing the 5 hospitals in Durham Region. She is a past Mayoral Candidate and a past Vice Chair and Accessibility Advisor to Council on the Accessibility Advisory Committee for the Town of Ajax.
Carion has earned several recognitions for her community service, including the Denise House 35 Courageous Woman Award; being named one of the 100 Accomplished Black Canadian Women by the honourable Jean Augustine & her Co-authors; the Ontario Volunteer Service Award (10 YRS) from the Ontario Provincial Government; Adult Ajax Civic Award (Town’s Highest Honour); Education and Accessibility Community Award from the Town of Ajax; Spinal Cord Injury Ontario and University Health Network Patti Dawson Award and Advocacy Award from Abilities Awards.
